Dr. Hagemann is a specialist in molecular, breast, and gynecologic pathology. He attended Princeton University and Washington University School of Medicine (MD/PhD), trained in Anatomic Pathology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, and completed a Molecular Genetic Pathology fellowship at Washington University. As a fellow, he was involved in the initial clinical implementation of next-generation sequencing for detection of somatic variants in cancer. He has authored or co-authored 80 scientific publications, and has been a member of the CAP Molecular Oncology Committee since 2019. Medical students at Washington University and pathology residents at the University of Pennsylvania have chosen him for several teaching awards.
