Michelle Dina

Michelle Dina, MS, MB(ASCP) is a Senior Developer at Mayo Clinic and holds an academic rank of Instructor in Laboratory Medicine and Pathology. Michelle received a BS degree from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities in Genetics, Cell Biology, and Development with a minor in Music, and a MS degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science. Michelle works in the clinical Molecular Hematopathology Laboratory developing NGS assays for the evaluation of hematologic disorders. Over the last 14 years, Michelle has held both development and technical roles in clinical molecular laboratories at Mayo Clinic. Through these roles, she has completed many process improvement projects and has enjoyed the challenges of bringing new DNA sequencing assays into the laboratory. When not at work, Michelle can be found playing woodwind instruments with many musical groups in the SE Minnesota region.
