Ozge Ceyhan Birsoy, PhD, is a clinical molecular geneticist and Associate Director of the Diagnostic Molecular Genetics laboratory at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. She completed her clinical molecular genetic fellowship at Harvard Medical School and subsequently served as Assistant Director at the Laboratory for Molecular Medicine (LMM) and the Clinical Research Sequencing Platform (CRSP) of the Broad Institue of MIT and Harvard. She took leading roles in projects exploring the use of genomic sequencing in personalized medicine, including the BabySeq and MedSeq. Dr. Birsoy's research currently focuses on the contribution of germline variants to cancer development and improving the molecular diagnosis of hereditary cancers via matched tumor-normal sequencing.
