Stephen Montgomery is an Associate Professor in the Departments of Pathology and Genetics at Stanford University. His laboratory focuses on mapping the molecular mechanisms of genetic traits and diseases. He has contributed to multiple large-scale genomics and functional genomics including GTEx, TOPMed, UDN, MoTrPAC and, most recently, GREGoR, a new NHGRI consortium to identify the genetic causes of hard-to-solve rare diseases.
