The safety of our participants is our number one concern. This event will meet or exceed all current recommendations from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the State of Arizona, and the City of Phoenix, as well as industry standards. Please note that the hotels and restaurants may have additional requirements with which everyone who enters the business must comply. Bring well-fitting face masks with you. AMP reserves the right to update and/or modify any requirements for participants. All registrants are required to comply and provide all requested agreements/affirmation, which will include the following:
See more information regarding the policies governing the AMP Annual Meeting & Expo here.
Mask wearing is encouraged, but not required.
Be respectful of individual preferences and decisions concerning mask wearing.
The AMP Board of Directors released a statement expressing deep concern with the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization and the negative impact it will impose on physician practice and patient access to needed healthcare services. We realize that some pregnant attendees may be concerned about traveling to U.S. states where abortion restrictions are such that they fear they may not be able to get the medical care they may need while there. An internet search will find a variety of websites give information on current laws that may help you decide whether you feel comfortable traveling.
Regarding the selection of locations for annual meetings, AMP’s Board-approved policy mandates that staff does not consider locations in states that currently have laws that could impose a direct negative impact on attendees or that are contrary to AMP’s Core Principles. Once contracts have been executed, however, AMP does not cancel them due to laws that arise later. Contracts are in place through the 2024 annual meeting. We are currently notifying the Convention & Visitors Bureaus of several states that we will no longer consider them for the AMP Annual Meeting & Expo and expanding our search to locations that we previously did not consider due to early winter weather or cost concerns.
Thank you for your understanding and support as we adjust to and navigate the new conditions imposed on organizations that hold conferences.
