Donna Wolk

Dr. Wolk serves as the Division Director for “Molecular and Microbial Diagnostics and Development” in the Department of Laboratory Medicine at Geisinger, an integrated healthcare delivery network focusing on wellness, precision medicine, and population health. She is a Professor of Laboratory Medicine at the Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine and the lead investigator for Geisinger’s Center for Laboratory Innovations and Outcomes. Her national service includes membership on the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Advisory Committee (CLIAC) and chair of the AMP Infectious Disease Subdivision, serving on several AMP COVID-19 committees. Her translational research efforts focus on evaluation and evidence-based integration of new technology for infectious disease diagnostics. In 2016, she received the American Society for Microbiology’s BD Award for Clinical Research in Microbiology, and in 2018, her career was highlighted as one of the scientists described in the ASM Press book entitled “Women in Microbiology.” She is featured as part of the WikiProject for Women Scientists.
