Colonel Joel T. Moncur is the Director of the The Joint Pathology Center, the federal government's pathology reference center in Silver Spring, MD. He earned his MD and PhD from Dartmouth's Geisel School of Medicine and Dartmouth College, respectively. He is a board certified in anatomic, clinical and molecular and genetic pathology and currently serves as the Chair of the College of American Pathologists Molecular Oncology Committee. Dr. Moncur's recent scholarly activity includes research on the performance of clinical molecular oncology laboratories on external quality assessements and digitally transforming The Joint Pathology Center repository to generate high quality data for machine learning algorithms.
