Valentina Nardi

Dr. Nardi as an associate professor of Pathology at Harvard Medical School and an associate pathologist at the Massachusetts General Hospital.

She received her M.D. from the University of Genoa, Italy where she completed a fellowship in hematology/oncology. Dr. Nardi joined George Daley’s laboratory at Boston Children’s Hospital as a postdoctoral fellow then enrolled in the anatomic pathology residency program at the Massachusetts General Hospital where she also completed a fellowship in hematopathology. After a second fellowship in Molecular Genetic Pathology at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital Dr. Nardi joined the faculty at Massachusetts General Hospital, Department of Pathology and Center for Integrated Diagnostics (CID) where she focuses on implementing molecular assays for hematological malignancies with a research interest in rapid detection of known and novel gene fusions in leukemias and sarcoma.

Dr. Nardi contributes to the NCCN guidelines for pediatric acute lymphoblastic leukemia, CAP molecular oncology committee, AMP hematopathology subdivision and organizing committee, and is contributing to several chapters of the new edition of the WHO for hematological malignancies.
