Vanessa L. Smith, MD, is a PGY4 AP/CP resident at Duke University. She completed her Master of Science in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry at UCLA and her MD at the University of Illinois College of Medicine, Peoria. She is currently a junior member on the The College of American Pathologists (CAP)/American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ACMG) Biochemical and Molecular Genetics Committee. She plans to complete fellowships in both molecular pathology and neuropathology.
